ReStore Proceeds Help Build Habitat Houses

ReStores

Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity operates two ReStores – one in Asheville and one in Weaverville. The stores sell mostly donated home goods and building supplies at affordable prices to the general public, diverting 2,500 tons of material from the landfill each year. Proceeds from ReStore sales help fund Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity’s building and repair programs.

The Asheville ReStore was one of the first ReStores to open (in 1990), and today it remains a top performing store out of nearly 900 ReStores nationwide. Our Weaverville location opened in August 2019.

ReStore Register Round Up Program

In 2019 the Asheville ReStores started a program call the Register Round Up. With every purchase made at the Asheville ReStores, shoppers have the opportunity to round their purchases up to the nearest dollar in support of a monthly local nonprofit of choice. Since the program’s inception in 2019, we have donated more than $124,000 to local nonprofits.
